About

Many years ago, I was given a novelty camera for my 8th birthday. To my surprise it actually took pictures. Not great ones, but enough to get me started. From there I learned how to develop both film and prints.(Preferred B&W for this, as amber or red lights could be used) I will always have a special place in my heart for B&W photography. It’s easier to get a spectacular and vivid color image, but it’s a bit trickier to get an eye catching B&W. Even with the age of digital imaging, I tend to take photographs as if they are still film and I am on a tight budget. It makes me wait for that just right shot.

I tend to have a strange eye when it comes to selecting photographic subjects, finding beauty in some rather different subjects. A friend of mine told me I was a “Zen photographer”, I took it as a compliment.
